About KS Insight
Who We Are
KS Insight is a leadership consultancy that works at the intersection of strategy, leadership development, and systems change. We partner with Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions, and international organizations to help leaders navigate complexity, build adaptive capacity, and drive meaningful change.
Founded in 2017 and led by Dr. Kirsti Samuels, we bring together practitioners who have led through crisis, built organizations, and moved complex systems. Our team combines deep academic rigor with practical experience from conflict zones, boardrooms, and transformation initiatives across five continents.
Based in New York City with team members globally, we work intensively both virtually and in person across all aspects of our practice—from design and preparation sessions to program delivery and team retreats. Whether we're co-creating in a design sprint, facilitating a leadership workshop, or gathering for our own company retreats, we bring the same intensity and focus to virtual collaboration as we do to in-person engagements.
Our Culture
What We Value in Our Team
Practical Wisdom
We value experience that's been tested under pressure. Theory matters, but we prize the judgment that comes from navigating real complexity.
Systems Thinking
We see connections others miss. Our team members understand how human systems work and can diagnose patterns across contexts.
CONFIDENT & CURIOUS
Our team members are secure enough to not have all the answers and curious enough to keep learning.
Intellectual Rigor
We think deeply about leadership and change. Our work draws from multiple disciplines and we constantly refine our frameworks based on evidence.
Teaching Excellence
We make complex ideas accessible without dumbing them down. Great facilitation is both an art and a discipline we take seriously.
Mission Focus
We're driven by impact. Our work matters because it helps leaders make better decisions when those decisions affect many.
When We Hire
Types of Roles
While we're not currently hiring, when we do expand our team, we typically look for:
Senior Consultants and Facilitators with deep expertise in leadership development, organizational change, or systems thinking
Program Designers who can translate complex frameworks into powerful learning experiences
Research Associates to help develop new frameworks and document our impact
Project Managers who can orchestrate complex, multi-stakeholder engagements
Strategic Partners with complementary expertise in specific sectors or methodologies
We value diversity of background, thought, and experience. Our best team members often come from non-traditional paths—former executives, researchers, military leaders, journalists, and practitioners from the development sector.
